For four kids from Kibera, the most infamous slum in the world, one man offered hope.
Fueled by a relentless determination to help young people from his community, Vincent took a chance on a group of kids from Kibera and empowered them through Kenya’s most sacred tradition: running. Our story follows the journey of four young athletes from the desperation of Kibera, to the majestic hills of Iten, as they compete for a coveted spot on Kenya’s Olympic team.
SLUM RUNNERS is a documentary of human resilience, redemption, and the transformative power of athletics.
Tumaini, Swahili for hope, is the guiding principle of the film project.
